This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

I noticed that there is an IP user creating many galleries in the gallery talk namespace. Should we just delete them and should we create a filter to prevent IP users from creating gallery talk pages?

I deleted the talk pages put I would wait before performing the block of that large range as /20 is not sufficient to cover this person only the hole /16 would cover this person entirely. GPSLeo (talk) 18:55, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification requested

I was permanently banned from Wikipedia. I have since devoted my time to photographing and documenting the South West of Sydney and connecting Wikidata entries to Commons categories. I have made thousands of what I hope are productive contributions to the project.

Recently my permanent Wikipedia ban was brought up in a category discussion. Can I clarify - if I have been banned indefinitely from the English Wikipedia, does this mean I am unwelcome on commons? I didn’t think this was the case, but it would be good to know if this is a problem so I don’t devote too much time to my SW Sydney documentation project… I am doing a part time uni degree and full time work so I’m a bit stretched at the moment!

Vandalism by 71.33.161.17

please block this IP globally. First this IP attacks administrators on their English Wikipedia talk page, and then attacks me on my Wikimedia Commons talk page.

How to prevent massive IP spam

Any ideas how we could prevent spam like this 2A00:1FA3:647:6A37:0:0:0:0/64 (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log) ? Maybe we can limit links from IPs to one per 5 Minutes. As there are some good copyvio reports from IPs we should not block them entirely. But here that would not have helped anyways as there was a sleeper account Butgju6h (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log) . Datasets about potential logos - April 2025 uploads

Hi all, we have released a new dataset of potential logos uploaded in April 2025, together with another one of those which have already been deleted as of 2025-05-02. We are sharing them with you for your consideration.

Hi, could an admin please look at this DR Commons:Deletion requests/File:P1288411-2.jpg, open since Mar 22? It's used on en:2025 Canadian federal election currently linked to on ENWP main page, so would be nice to get rid of it if it's indeed a copyvio.
